New Dates Announced for Barracuda Championship at Old Greenwood Golf Course

The PGA TOUR has released a revised schedule for the remainder of the 2020 season. Among the many announcements was confirmation of the date change for the Barracuda Championship hosted at Tahoe Mountain Club’s Old Greenwood Golf Course. The new dates for the tournament have been set for July 27 – August 2. You can read the full update from the PGA TOUR on their website.

As with everything during these unprecedented times, the Club and our partners at the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation continue to work hand-in-hand to adjust and adapt our plans with the health and safety of our Members and of the many fans, volunteers and community partners being our top priority.

In a recent conversation with Chris Hoff, Barracuda Championship Tournament Director, he shared with us that the date change tees up a new opportunity as it is followed on the schedule by the PGA Championship to be held in San Francisco, suggesting that we could see a jump in the talent at our event as players looking to ease their travel could opt for these two back-to-back California events.

“We couldn’t be more thankful for the continual partnership and support of Tahoe Mountain Club, it’s amazing Members and resourceful Crew” said Chris. “It certainly is a testament to the Barracuda Championship and the world-class quality of the Old Greenwood Golf Course that we were selected to be on the revised schedule, as that was not the case for all events. We look forward to working and planning with Tahoe Mountain Club on the new July 27-August 2 event dates.”
